Red Eye
Caught this one Saturday night while I was in DC. I was excited to see it because I thought I'd seen the previews for it - turns out I was completely wrong and had mistaken this movie for Flightplan (the whole time I'm going, "when is this little girl going to get lost?!?!"). And what a mistake it was as I later found out this one was the latest from the Wes Craven collection.
Craven has truly mastered the art of "almost B" movies: movies that include too many somewhat big name actors and provide a hair too much entertainment to be full-fledge "B." Yet, they are just too horrid to actually be remembered once they hit video. This one was no exception, it was typical Craven all the way, down to the standard knife scene (no one got slashed up though - the turning of a new leaf?).
Yet and still, when it comes down to it this one might be best Craven movie to hit the screens in a long time; better put: within a pile of shit, this particular terd isn't quite as stinky as the rest.
