Japón

Okay, so I know real indi movie buffs are going to hate me for this, but this is quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. The only good thing about renting a movie like this is that not matter what else I get from my local Blockbuster, it has to be good.

Japón is a very poetic, visually stimulating movie set in a mountainous region of Mexico. It's obvious that the director meticulously thought out each shot to make it no only artful, but in some way symbolic. In this sense, the movie is incredible, as each scene is really well done. Trouble is, this makes for a really slow and boring movie. As I watched, I saw what he was trying to achieve from an artistic sense, but just didn't have the patience to put up with the incredibly slow pace of the movie.
