Missy's album release!

This might just be the awesome'est Missy news to date: last week her quartet dropped their first album! That's right, alongside R. Kelly, Santana, and Billy Joel, there was The Harlem Quartet.

This is huge. This is bigger than huge. If you've made it this far and haven't bought your copy yet, do it right now! Personally, I'd like to see it go triple diamond, but gold would be alright too. We've gotta leave something to strive for on her sophomore attempt.

Missy on Today

Missy's performing with Sean Kingston on the Today show this morning. I know this post comes too late for you east coast viewers, and most of my west coast friends probably aren't up yet, but still: she's on! Hopefully NBC will post highlights on their website.

Update: NBC did in fact post the clip - you can check it out here. Missy can be seen to Sean's left (viewers right). Yea Missy!

Missy on TV

Shouts to Missy are becoming a regular thing here at the RomeReport. This time she may be on The Today Show. From the announcement:
"The Sphinx Organization will be featured on America's #1 morning show, The Today Show on NBC on Friday, March 23rd at 9:30 a.m.!

The segment is scheduled to feature the highlights of Sphinx10! - key events of the 10th anniversary of Sphinx's programming, including the Sphinx Competition for young Black and Latino string players presented by JPMorgan Chase, as well as the Harlem Quartet."
Missy won the Sphinx competition like ten years ago and still maintains ties to the organization&hellip I think. Anywho's, check out the show to learn more.
