Memorial Day: New Jersey style I'm headed back out east this weekend to celebrate Memorial Day. My girlfriend and her friends are getting some beach house to spend the weekend in, so she invited me to tag along. I think my sister's showing up as well, which'll be cool.
Newly weds I was at home (in Michigan) this weekend for a friends wedding. Over the past few years quite a few of my friends have gotten married, but this one was the first one I was able to attend. My girlfriend was able to make it too, which, in and of itself, made the trip exciting.Aside from my friend walking down the isle, I got a chance to see a lot of people I hadn't seen since high school - it was like a mini reunion (they all brought their girlfriends too :) ). Being home for the wedding also allowed me to be home for Mother's Day - I haven't been home for Mother's Day since I was in high school! What's really cool is it's looking like I'll be home for Father's Day too. It's going to be tough to top this performance next year!
