Leave it to me

I managed to completely hose my computer today. I was trying to make a new partition on it using Partition Magic, and did something that wasn't so good. When you create a partition using this program, there's an option that says "add new operating system." Pretty ambiguous, but it's what I was trying to do, so I chose it. During this process there's one particular step that asks if you're going to install the new OS "immediately," or "later." What the hell is that supposed to mean?!?! And to make it worse, they say if you choose incorrectly, you're machine may not be able to boot at all - I guess I chose incorrectly.

I asked some IT guys around here for help, but the problem had them all stumped (just my luck). The only solution: reinstall everything.
