His name is my name, too!

There's definitely a coolness factor that comes along with having the same name as your father. Even if your father wasn't some big name oil tycoon, or yet another line of royalty, at the very least you get throw some sort of suffix on your name. However, having the same name as someone whose so closely tied to your life does have its downsides, sort of like what happened today:

Apparently there's this company called "Privacy Guard" that'll send you checks, which if you cash implies that you want their services. A helluva dirty way to make money, but apparently it works. So Privacy Guard has been sending these checks to my dads house in Michigan, address and made out to "Jerome White." You know how that goes… I can't really blame my dad for going out and cashing them, it's hard to turn down free money. The trouble was, Privacy Guard took this to mean that it was me who wanted the services. So I get stuck with the bill and my dad takes all the money. Now that I think about it though, that's what I've been doing to him for the past 24 years :)
